The holiday season gives us many reasons to give back to our community! Here are 5 opportunities to get involved!
Cereal Sunday: November 13th
Let's fill City Teams pantry! Bring a box of cereal to donate to help feed the homeless this Thangsgiving season.
Fill a Stocking - Fill a Heart
Fill a Stocking, Fill a Heart is a local non-profit organization assisting agencies in Clackamas County by providing their neediest clients with a filled stocking during the holidays. You can pick up and return these stockings at Grand Central Station. Please return no later than Sunday, November 28th!
Angel Tree
Angel Tree is a Prison Fellowship program that connects parents in prison with their children through the delivery of Christmas gifts. Gifts are provided by donations and given to the child from the incarcerated parent. Pick up a tag with a child's name and gift suggestions from the Angel Tree display. Questions? Thanksgiving & Christmas Food Boxes
Once again, OCEC is providing Thanksgiving and Christmas meals to families in need in our City. Please bring donations of non-perishable food, both for holiday meals and basic staples, and drop them off in the barrel in the lobby. Donations are also needed to purchase turkeys for the boxes, and volunteers are needed to help deliver the Thanksgiving boxes on Nov. 20th. Accepting donations until December 4th.
Sponsor a Christmas Gift Shopping Day
This year, OCEC is providing Christmas gifts for children from families in need, but their parents are going to get to do the shopping! We are sponsoring a shopping day for the parents to pick out their child's gift and then bring it back to the church to wrap it for their child to open on Christmas. We are collecting donations to purchase gift cards for the families, as well as donations of gift wrapping supplies. We also need volunteers to host a family as they shop or help with gift wrapping at the church on December 10th. Accepting donations until December 4th. Any Questions?
