This week began the official count down for outreach with only two and a half weeks left on island! However, God still has some work He wants to do in my heart in preparation for the ministry we will be doing in Asia. This week Janet, a local friend of YWAM Maui, came to speak on the restoration of our hearts. Week 7 and time is flying by! This week we had the opportunity to meet the fall DTS teams as they returned from outreach. Having the opportunity to hear their testimonies of how God was at work in the different locations was really inspiring. It made me so excited to get there and even more excited to come back after outreach and be in their place; happy to be home but longing to go back...

Do you ever over look the Old Testament? Unintentionally, I often find myself just flipping straight to the Good News. Reading through the Bible from beginning to end has been a never successful battle because I can’t seem to get passed Genesis 5 with all that genealogy. However, I never really took the time to understand why that kind of stuff was so pertinent. Oh how life has been so insanely busy the past few weeks! Between spending time with our new outreach groups, my weekly Journaling homework, and being spiritually rocked to the core; there hasn’t been much time for blogging therefore I finally write you now. My first week here at YWAM Maui has been an experience that I didn’t expect. I tried not to have many expectations before I came, however I did assume church on the first Sunday and lectures starting first thing on Monday because personally I feel as though I have a lot to learn in what I think is little time.
