Calling all men, fathers, grandfathers and teen guys! Let's be courageous and lead the way in going to see this movie!

This is a must movie for you. This is one that men and young men should go to together. (And, yes, it is also a great movie for the women, moms, grandmas and young women.) Roberta and I had the chance to preview this movie. When it was over we knew then that we would want every father and son of our church going to see Courageous. It is appropriate for an entire family to see together and have some great discussion over dessert or dinner afterwards. It is well acted, filmed and the story line will keep you engaged.

Take the time to go while this is in the major theaters and help make the statement that quality films with a good message are worth producing and showing in the theater. And, if you go and feel that it was a waste of your time then come see me and I'll personally refund your ticket cost.

This coming Sunday (2-20-2011) we are going to show the movie "Adopt-A-Jesus". This movie was shown a few weeks back at the church on a Thursday and had a great turn out and discussion afterwards. The movie follows Brandt Russo as he goes around the southern part of the United States to highlight the homeless issue. The movie made me (Pastor Josh) really think after seeing it and as we are getting ready for Warm Springs I thought this would be a great tool to help us get into the spirit of it.

The movie will be starting at 5:00pm and we will end at 7:00pm. After the movie we will be having a discussion about what we just saw.

PARENTS:

I want to let you know that the movie is raw; meaning that there are real discussions with homeless and there are a few curse words that the editors decided to keep in film. If you want to watch the movie before I show it on Sunday please let me know and I will loan it out to you.
